This half day retreat offers a unique opportunity to blend art, yoga, and neuroscience, allowing you to tap into your creative potential, deepen your mindfulness practice, and nurture your overall well-being. The sessions are open for yoga all levels and doesn’t require previous painting experience. It’s for everyone that is curious to explore healing through a physical and creative flow.

Your facilitators: Pelin  is a certified yoga teacher and a design strategist with the vision of “designing for and with well-being.”  She is collaborating with artist Belmin Pilevneli and neuroscientist Cansel Işıklı, to faclitate a yoga practice enhanced with creativity & art and backed up with neuroscience.

  • We explore being in the breath and the moment through yoga, merging it with creativity!

    Practice yoga on a canvas-covered mat, allowing paint to spread easily without getting on your body. The workshop aims to express creativity while merging mindfulness with movement. Wear comfortable clothes and bring and an open mind.

    The session includes a brief meditation, gentle yoga, and painting on the canvas.

    Let go of self-judgment, there's no right or wrong way. Leave with a unique artwork and memories of a fun and creative yoga practice guided by certified yoga instructor Pelin Kazak and artist Belmin Pilevneli. Enjoy this refreshing experience! Namaste!

  • We will explore the effects of yoga and art therapy from a neuroscience perspective with Cansel Işıklı, a neuroscience Ph.D. candidate.

    Following a creative yoga session aimed at experiencing movement, mindfulness, and creativity, we want to delve into how these practices influence our brains and nervous systems.

    During this discussion, we encourage you to share your experiences from the creative yoga session and express how you feel. Additionally, we'll discuss the latest neuroscience research on yoga and art therapy, exploring how these practices can benefit our mental and emotional well-being.

    This conversation will provide a deeper understanding of the positive impacts of yoga and art therapy on our brains and nervous systems, encouraging us to continue exploring these practices in our daily lives.

At the end of the workshop, you can bring the canvas you painted during the session home. Pelin & Belmin will hold space for you and guide you to explore your creativity and movement freely. You can bring your own mats, the venue also has mats that you can use.

Starting the workshop by spending time painting on canvas under Belmin’s guidance was very therapeutic.
